Born in California and raised in Oregon and Texas, Dr. Anderson now calls the Pacific Northwest home.
Growing up she had dogs and cats and dreamed of being a veterinarian from the time she was in second grade. After becoming a registered veterinary technician, Dr. Anderson earned a master’s degree in biology and then received her DVM from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University.
After serving as Chief of Staff at Banfield Veterinary Hospital-Salmon Creek, Dr. Anderson came to work at East Padden Animal Hospital, where she has a special interest in pain management and both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. She describes herself as a “dog person” with a hefty side of “cat person”— which is evidenced in the fact that she shares her home with three dogs and four cats…as well as seven chickens!
Dr. Anderson’s family also includes her husband Spencer and their two daughters Avery and Addison. When she’s not working, she and her family love to camp and explore new places. Time to herself is usually spent with a good book and a cup of one of the many teas she collects.
